The Continuous Journey

At the very outset, before I try to elaborate on the title of the blog, A big THANK YOU to all the readers.

This blog primarily deals with Devops, Software Creation and Delivery and Cloud Computing among other technology-based topics.

All of us are on a journey from the time we were born to the time we bid adieu to the earth, a journey through time.

Similarly, success, as defined by John C Maxwell, is a journey rather than a destination. In light of this, we can never truly say that one has arrived.

If there is one word that is very much used about DevOps, it, I think, is the word "Continuous". Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Continuous Deployment and so on. [ No prizes for guessing that the title of the blog is inspired by the above terms :) ]

And there are no destinations or goals but only milestones. When there are goals, most often than not, we try to achieve them and once it is done, we rest on our laurels, become complacent, lose the drive, unaware of the changes happening. An attitude that has been the nemesis of many an organization in the technology space.

But if we flip our perspective and start viewing success as a journey with many milestones, we would be aware of the circumstances and situations around and we would be proactive in our response to them. In other words, we need to be a continuous learner. With this attitude, we as professionals, are en route to becoming one of the most respected technology practitioners in the world.
